Bracelet
A pearl bracelet or bangle is a piece of jewelry worn on the wrist, beautifully encircling it.
The pearl bracelet is made of flexible materials such as metal chain links, beads, shells, silk, leather, rubber, or plastic bands.
Today, the sophisticated woman enjoys wearing a pearl bracelet made of real pearls because it suits any outfit and any occasion.
Pearls are divided into two categories:
Saltwater pearls and freshwater pearls!
Regular, annual visits to selected pearl farming regions around the world ensure top quality pearls for our customers.
We travel several times to select the most beautiful pearls for you directly on site.
Born from the sea and nurtured by the sun, a pearl is truly a wonder of nature.
Pearls grow inside shells, either in pearl oysters, freshwater or saltwater mussels, or in some types of clams and abalone.
Natural and cultured pearls are created in almost the same way and process.
A natural pearl forms when a foreign object such as a grain of sand, a crab, a tiny fish, or an unwanted parasite slips into the oyster's shell. After several years, a pearl may have formed around the foreign object.
The cultured pearl is the fruit of a unique collaboration between nature and man. It undergoes the same process of building up beautiful mother-of-pearl, but begins it with the help of the human hand.
Technicians carefully remove all cultured pearls and immediately wash them with fresh water. Then they are dried and polished. Next, they are sorted by shape, size, luster, and color. No easy task, considering how individual each pearl is. The next step is drilling the hole, a tricky business. Technicians must be especially careful to place the hole precisely in the center of each pearl. The last and perhaps most labor-intensive step is finding comparable pearls. Dealers may have to examine tens of thousands to select the right pearls for a simple necklace.
Bracelets are predominantly made from freshwater pearls. The length can be varied. Most pearl bracelets are knotted with a silk thread. A silicone thread is also used: this makes it easier to put on the bracelet.
As with cultivation, pearl bracelets also require special attention as pieces of jewelry. Cosmetics, perfume, deodorant, and household cleaners attack the pearl or deposit on the surface in a way that is difficult to remove. A cosmetic product like self-tanner even destroys the pearl.
Pearl jewelry should always be put on only after styling (hairspray) and applying makeup.
Once a year, you should have your pearl bracelet checked. For rings and stud earrings, clasps and settings are checked. For necklaces and bracelets, the silk thread is also examined for brittleness and dirt.
Your pearl bracelet may need to be re-strung. A knot is inserted behind each pearl. This prevents valuable pearls from being lost if the bracelet breaks. Real Pearl – Real Joy
